Positions in brief
Conder is campaigning on fiscal responsibility, street repair, public safety, government efficiency, community access, and support for veterans in Ward 4.
As the sitting Ward 4 councilmember, Conder says public safety is his top priority, calling for increased police presence and a full-service police station serving the Orangecrest and Mission Grove neighborhoods, along with more aggressive enforcement against mail theft and property crimes. On fiscal responsibility, he pledges to hold City Hall accountable for how it spends public money, opposing new debt, new taxes, and pay increases for the city council, while prioritizing street repair and maintenance in the city budget. He supports bringing new technology to city government to improve efficiency and reduce costs, and plans to hold regular office hours at the Orange Terrace and Villegas community centers to bring city hall closer to residents. He also wants to increase housing opportunities for veterans in Riverside, and supports schools teaching students the skills needed for the 21st-century economy.
