Mayra Vega
Candidate for Yolo County Supervisorial District 3 · Woodland Councilmember/Businessowner
Mayra Vega is a candidate for Yolo County Board of Supervisors, District 3. This is for the 2026 election. The office is nonpartisan. By state law, all California county offices are nonpartisan. Vega currently serves on the Woodland City Council. District 3 covers Woodland, Bryte, Broderick, and the Wild Wings community. Vega is not an incumbent on the Board of Supervisors. The seat became open after incumbent Mary Vixie Sandy chose not to run again. Governor Gavin Newsom had appointed Sandy to the board in 2023. That was after the death of her husband, former Assemblymember Gary Sandy. (Source: Davis Enterprise, tier T3.)
