Leela Gray

Leela Gray is a retired Army brigadier general who served 30 years in uniform, a decade on active duty followed by service in the Army Reserve, with three deployments and commands in Alabama, Indiana, New York and Wisconsin. In 2014 and 2015 she worked at the State Department on initiatives to counter terrorist propaganda, and in 2019 she served as a strategic advisor to U.S. Army Cyber Command. While in the Reserve she worked in technology start-ups and communications, and she co-created the Tampa Bay TV show "Veteran Strong." She attended Elon University with help from Army ROTC and later went to law school. She and her husband have lived in the Tampa Bay area for more than 20 years.
