Jeff Hurd represents Colorado's 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was sworn into the 119th Congress on January 3, 2025, after winning in November 2024, and serves on the Natural Resources, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Science, Space and Technology committees. Hurd attended the University of Notre Dame and earned law degrees from the University of Denver and Columbia Law School. He clerked for federal appeals court judge Timothy M. Tymkovich and practiced law at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City. He later returned to western Colorado, where he built a law practice serving rural communities and focusing mainly on rural electric cooperatives.
