Steven Alves
Candidate for City Council Member, Irvine, District 5 · Small Businessowner/Dad
Steven Alves has lived in Irvine's Woodbridge area for more than 30 years. He volunteered with Scouting for 14 years and spent 18 months as Chief of Staff to Irvine Vice Mayor James Mai, which he says gave him insight into City Hall operations. He is President/CEO of SCA International Trade Inc. and serves on the Irvine Community Fund board.
Alves' campaign site emphasizes restoring fiscal discipline in response to what he calls a growing city budget deficit and rising costs, and preserving public safety and a well-maintained city. His site's homepage does not offer a detailed issues page beyond these short priority statements.
