Mike W. Gallagher

Candidate for Shasta County Supervisorial District 5

Mike Gallagher was born in Corning and raised in Los Molinos, and has lived in Northern California for over 60 years. He is married to DeAnna, whom he married in 2001, and has a blended family of four children. He attended the Refrigeration School in Phoenix, graduating top of his class, then spent over 13 years as an HVAC service technician serving North State families and businesses. In 2003 he founded a metal roofing company and earned a California contractor's license. He was appointed to the Anderson Planning Commission in 2014 and later served as its chair, was appointed to the Anderson City Council in 2018, and was re-elected in 2022. On the council he worked on improvements to River Park, construction of a splash pad, a concert stage upgrade, and realigning the city budget toward fiscal balance.

Gallagher's campaign centers on fiscally conservative leadership focused on transparency, accountability, and eliminating wasteful county spending. He also names a serious, coordinated approach to domestic violence prevention that prioritizes victim safety and accountability as a priority, and describes his approach to homelessness, public safety, and infrastructure as combining compassion with accountability while protecting rural communities and core infrastructure.
